Ollie leads our headhunting offering and Foundational’s fractional tech & product services. He also works with Chris to find the best finance talent for full-time & fractional engagements.

Ollie has 14 years of experience as a headhunter in the Southeast Asian venture ecosystem. In 2018, he became one of the first Heads of Talent in Southeast Asia for a regional VC, Golden Gate Ventures.

His role was to work closely with 70+ founders across Vietnam, Indonesia, the Philippines, Bangladesh, Singapore, and Thailand to ensure they were bringing the right talent into their businesses to ensure growth.

Ollie graduated with a Bachelor’s in Maths with the Philosophy of Maths from King’s College London and is a Certified Employment Intermediary.

Chris runs our CFO Services team and is a Fractional CFO for several of our clients. He also works with Ollie when our clients are looking to hire finance specialists, whether as either CFOs or supporting roles.

Chris has worked with hundreds of early stage companies in Singapore during his time at Foundational and as CFO at Lanturn. While at Lanturn, Chris had his first experience of rapid growth in a startup when he oversaw a 4x growth in revenue over two and a half years.

Prior to Lanturn, he was APAC Financial Controller for a Marine Fuel firm with over $2.5bn in annual revenue and previously spent three years auditing a wide range of companies at Deloitte in South Africa and Boston.
We started Foundational because we noticed startups were not reaching their potential.
They had great ideas, product, and funding but were failing to solve operational issues as they scaled.
Bringing in the right senior leadership is key to solving these operational issues, allowing the founders to focus on their vision.
